Echofuzz had the pleasure of performing at Rock the Zoo 2012 this past Friday night! Rock the Zoo is an annual fundraiser hosted by the non-profit Phoenix Zoo. All proceeds from Rock the Zoo help to maintain and care for the more than 1,000 animals that call the Phoenix Zoo home.

This year Rock the Zoo went local with over 100 Arizona bands competing in a battle of the bands to perform at the fundraiser. Echofuzz and Tell Me About the Rabbits were two of the 10 finalists selected by zoo employees, and ultimately won the public vote. This was an amazing event with over 2000 people in attendance. Echofuzz thanks the Phoenix Zoo and its staff for the opportunity to participate!

Joe’s Grotto

Just getting back from a great gig at Joe’s Grotto. Had a great time! Always appreciate the hospitality there. Sound on stage and off was awesome. A big thank you to Rick (sound engineer) and the fans that came out to support us. Looking forward to a future gig at Joe’s. For those of you who don’t know, Joe’s Grotto has been supporting AZ Bands for a long time. The venue is awesome and they are very professional. Thanks Joe, we appreciate the opportunity!

Arizona Bands looking for a quality venue should check out Crabby Don’s. Thanks to Crabby’s for providing a cool venue and pro sound, on stage and off. We always enjoy playing @ Crabby’s. We especially appreciate the time and effort that Crabby’s puts into their promotional material. They have some of the coolest and most unique promotional artwork we’ve seen. We look forward to playing there again soon.

“Subject: Rock the Zoo Battle of the Bands RESULTS

WOW! We all knew that Arizona had great local bands, but we were absolutely amazed by all of the submissions and the level of professionalism from each band. It was a tough decision, but a team of seven people with various backgrounds listened to each song, looked at the photos and read the bio’s. They then voted anonymously on each band. The bands with the most votes became the top ten for the Battle of the Bands.”

Echofuzz thanks the Phoenix Zoo for supporting local music and providing AZ Bands with an excellent venue to share their music.

Real Rock and Roll!

Echofuzz thinks Dave Grohl said it best in his acceptance speech at the 2011 MTV Music Awards:

“Never lose faith in real rock and roll music. You may have to look a little harder, but it’s always going to be there.”

If you’re in Arizona, you won’t have to look any further than Echofuzz to find real rock and roll music. We love what we do and we bring it to the stage every time we play. We don’t think rock and roll is making a comeback. To us and the millions of straight ahead rock and roll fans, it never left. This is what we do! Come to an Echofuzz show and you’ll see and hear what we’re talking about. If you’re a fan of real rock and roll music, you know it’s always going to be there. We’re gonna do our part to make sure of it!

2012 is shaping up to be a big year for the band. We have been busy in the studio working on new songs between playing local shows and holding down day jobs until we can finally Piss It All Away On Rock n Roll!

It looks like we’ll be hitting the road a few times this year along with local shows. Keep checking back for updates.
